And here I am. One week since handing in my thesis. A VERY stressful day that was I have to say. And not just for me, but also for the Amazon Rainforest. No wait…ALL the rainforests in the whole world! I will tell you some time over a pint if you are interested.

But then luck stroke. Arriving late in London that same day made us find that love nest I was talking about earlier. And it’s super cool!!! Have to get this paperwork sorted out and then we are the proud renters of a 2 bedroom teeny tiny flat close to Chelsea. Finally no more trains up and down to London and back. I’m so happy…

But then I’m also a bit sad. For several reasons really. Firstly, I'll have to leave Manchester, where I have lived for the past 5 years. Secondly, I will have to give up my girlie room. My room, where I love to crash after a drunken night. Camp for a whole weekend with movies and ice cream. With all my pictures of friends, candles and incense sticks, episodes of Friends, and souvenirs from Mexico, Spain, China, India, and Lithuania. And thirdly, I am gonna miss my flatmates. Each and every one of them I had in the last 5 years. I love to come home to a house with noise, if you know what I mean. And thirdly, I should give up my work in Stockport. I had such a great time there. I'm thinking of keeping the job just a bit longer though...which means more travelling. Too bad...

But it will all be brill. New, exciting, and loads of great experiences. And in the future I let you guys know how my almost-married life will be for this dutch/mexican birdie.

And then it was Friday. And I reached the point. That point. The point that makes all other points look small and insignificant… I finished.
* I FINISHED! *
That damn 400-page thesis is done!!! Tomorrow I’ll print, and hand it in. And that’s it folks!!!

So I will have 6 weeks off. To prepare for the exam. To find a lovely love nest for Lalo and me. To move to London. To celebrate my 30th. To start my new job(s). And to rest a bit (hehehehe, have you seen the stuff I just mentioned. I hope I can have one afternoon off with a list that long).

Anyway, it will be great!!! I’ll keep you all informed :)
